I was born and raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston where we pahk ah cahs in Hahvid Yahd and eat lobstah. :)

I have been addicted to animals since I was a baby and would bring home strays as I got older. I worked in a kennel during college breaks and I remember being spoken to twice that I was “taking too long” to feed the animals. Excuse me for giving the fur babies some attention.

After graduating college, I was a Court Reporter who did depositions for attorneys. I got married in 1993 and left the corporate world 9 1/2 months later when my first child was born and never went back. I was a stay at home mom and have 5 daughters, the last of which we adopted from China.

My lifelong passion for animals compelled me to start my own pet care business in 2003. A great old man once said, “If you love your job, you'll never work again”. Sounds about right.

Over the years I have assisted in disaster-related missions, including Hurricane Katrina as well as rescues of animals from abusive/neglected situations, including puppy mills in rural Missouri. I have worked with animals surrendered from sub-standard and/or abusive environments. In 2009, I helped with the ASPCA and HSMO behavior teams to evaluate behavioral responses of over 500 pit bulls confiscated in the FBI’s largest dog fighting bust.

I graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2007 and the Greater St. Louis Training Club in 2010. I have been mentored under some very knowledgeable trainers who share my commitment to enhance the relationship between pets and their owners through reward-based training. I passed the exhaustive 500 question test with a 94% in 2010 and became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). It was then that I added dog training to my business. I have over 1,300 hours of training dogs.

In May 2022, I collaborated with Five Acres Animal Shelter who refer me to those seeking training or behavior modification for their new canine companion. I have taught classes in the St. Charles City Schools’ Adult Education about canine behavior and what you need to know before bringing that cute little darling home. In addition, I wrote a column for the St. Louis Post Dispatch for several years, “The Barking Lot”, about man’s best friend and some training guidance.

I graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Boston with a BA in English and Boston College of Business in Court Reporting. I am married with five daughters and have four canine companions. When time permits, I volunteer with the Humane Society of Missouri and All Paws Rescue. I am a member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers, Pet Sitters International, the HSMOs Black Dog Club and follow several rescue groups. I donate 5% of my proceeds to rescue groups.

I love to travel, cook/bake and be with family and friends.
